The Allawah Retreat is an hour’s drive from Cairns and is located on 150 acres of native Australian bush bordering the beautiful Atherton Tablelands in the Cairns Highlands. The award winning resort has self contained lodges with heated spas, private pools, BBQ’s, satellite TV and more.
Close to the Allawah Retreat are mountain walking tracks, and visitors can indulge in a number of outdoor activities like hot air ballooning, bird watching, swimming, horse riding, rainforest walking, fishing on Lake Tinaroo, wildlife spotting and the like. From the private decks you have a panoramic view of the vast Atherton Tablelands, Lake Tinaroo and the rugged ridges of the Great Australian Dividing Range. In the mornings enjoy the misty mountains, wallabies feeding, and hot air balloons drifting along the mist right from your lodging. Breakfast provisions provided in your lodge include combination of fresh eggs, bacon, tomato, hash browns, Chipolata sausages, mushrooms, orange juice, cereal, instant and plunger coffee, tea selection and hot chocolate.
Enjoy with hot crusty bread delivered to the lodge each morning to enjoy with Trish's homemade jams.
Plus complimentary port, and Trish's home made cookies and hand made chocolates.

HoneyGem Lodge
The romantic HoneyGem Lodge has a warm, homely, rich timber feel and overlooks eucalypt woodland from its high ridge vantage point, offering sweeping views across farmland to the coastal mountains. The rich colour of red cedar furniture and trims with timber floors add to the relaxing ambience of the wood fireplace in the lounge room. Unwind in your private plunge pool and marvel at the view. The Queen size bed can be closed off from the world behind folding timber louvre doors for added privacy. This lodge has been designed to offer maximum privacy with every luxury and inside you will find meticulous attention to detail.
Moonlight Lodge
The romantic Moonlight Lodge has a modern Australiana theme and overlooks eucalypt woodland from its high ridge vantage point and offers sweeping views over Atherton Tableland farmland to the coastal mountains of Cairns. The rich colour of red cedar furniture and trims with timber floors add to the relaxing ambience of the wood fireplace in the lounge room. The Lodge features a King size bed with private collection bedlinen and a Double shower.
Treetops Lodge
It has a modern, elegant & very spacious feel and offers panoramic views from every room. The king size bedroom with luxury linen, flows into a huge ensuite with double shower and sliding timber louvre dividing doors to provide for added privacy. Enjoy the panoramic views from the deck or private garden courtyard.
Hideaway Lodge
Hideaway lodge is a romantic haven, hidden away among the eucalypts with panoramic views from every room and accessed via an elevated timber boardwalk. It has a very free flowing modern open plan design and this is emphasised by the high cathedral ceilings. The centrally located granite and timber galley kitchen overlooks the deck and the views beyond. Luxury features including under bench oven, deck BBQ complete with bar fridge and granite bench top, plasma television with DVD surround sound system, and spacious double shower. The lodge has a huge deck with an exclusive “Hot Springs” heated deck spa as well as a sun deck complete with a double hammock to sunbake in the day and stargaze in the evening.
