Atherton Tableland Tours Code:mytown
Atherton Tableland Tours is a full day tour which shows guests the best this varied region has to offer. Travel from Cairns in air conditioned comfort across the Great Dividing range through World Heritage Listed rainforest. The contrast with outback regions of the Cairns highland will amaze you. An experienced local guide will introduce you to the diversity of the region throughout the day, explaining history, people and industry. The first stop of the day is a coffee plantation for morning tea and coffee samplings. Then onto Granite Gorge for hand feeding of rock wallabies. A local Heritage Museum will further explain this incredible region and the background which makes it so unique. A lunch time break at a traditional Australian hotel will provide you with more energy for the afternoon ahead. At a tropical wetland savannah reserve, enjoy an electric boat ride on a lagoon and take in the native flora and fauna in their own surroundings. And for your last stop before returning to Cairns, visit a unique winery which is situated on a mango plantation. Enjoy afternoon tea and sampling of the wines. This tour runs daily except Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Anzac Day and Good Friday.
