This unique Cairns tour, is a 4WD tour which caters to groups of up to 6 guests, with a lunch at Kuranda before heading out to the Wetlands. The Mareeba Tropical Wetland & Savanna Reserve which includes 150 hectares of lagoons and sits at the edge of the Outback. The tour guides are all dedicated birders and naturalists and introduce guests to seasonally variable wildlife that is found in this reserve. After enjoying the visitors centre, take a boat cruise on Clancy's lagoon and then drive around areas in the Reserve that are closed to the public-visiting other lagoons. Arrive back at the Visitor centre in time for sunset and enjoy wine and cheese as the birds come in for the night. A peaceful end to the day before driving back to Cairns at approx 8.00pm.
