This one day Cairns Birding tour in the Daintree rainforests and Atherton Tablelands and surrounding areas is a bird watchersEdelight. The bird watching expedition begins with the Cairns Esplanade and wades through Daintree rainforests, lakes, coastal and highland forests, open eucalyptus woodland, grasslands, wetlands, mangroves, farmlands, and tidal mudflats. The visitors are taken up the range to Kuranda rainforest village where lunch is served in one of the quality cafes there. The afternoon trip is through the Atherton Tablelands, lakes, wetlands and open woodland sites. The tour is open to all levels of birdwatchers from beginners to devoted avian followers as well as bird photographers. Included in the tour package are morning tea, lunch, use of binoculars & spotting scope, and reference material on birds. The journey is through comfortable air conditioned 4WD vehicle and begins at around 8.00am and return is around 4.30pm. The tour is arranged on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Pickup and drop from hotel accommodation from Cairns and Cairns beaches is provided.
