Cairns Snorkelling Trip Code: gagiThis Cairns snorkelling trip departs daily from the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal at 8:30am and return air conditioned coach transfers to the terminal are available from Cairns and the Northern Beaches. Refreshments are provided before your departure from Cairns to your first of the two destinations for the day, picturesque Green Island, where you will spend 2 hours exploring and indulging in all the exciting activities available. An optional short boat trip to one of the best snorkel sites on the Island is available at a reasonable cost. You may like to get a bird’s eye view of this spectacular island by taking to the sky behind a powerboat and enjoy the excitement of para sailing. Another way to appreciate this magnificent wonder of the world, is to go on a 10 or 20 minute joy flight over the reef, it will provide you with some brilliant photo’s and a unique and priceless perspective. If that is too extreme for you then, you may like to simply relax on the beach, hire a sun lounge and work on your tan. Green Island also has an underwater observatory, and a crocodile marine life habitat, where there are crocodile shows and you can even hold a baby croc.When you depart Green Island your next destination will be the Outer Reef Activity Pontoon Platform where you will spend 3 hours exploring the spectacular coral gardens that provide the habitat for many different marine species. You can explore the reef a number of different ways. Scuba diving with an Introductory Dive with experienced professional instructor is popular. Certified dives are also available. Be taken on an amazing underwater adventure to see the reef and marine life in all its wonder. Another good way to experience the reef first hand is to go on the Guided Snorkel Tour. Explore the beauty and wonder of the reef with a guide by your side. If you prefer not to get your feet wet, then there are alternatives such as the Semi-Submersible coral reef viewing tour or the underwater observatory. Morning tea and a a hot/cold buffet lunch including delicious fresh seafood is provided. There is a swimming enclosure for the children and change rooms with freshwater showers. Arrive back at the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal at approximately 5:30pm. You will be filled with spectacular memories and inspired to explore more that the reef has to offer.
