Day 1 Cairns - M.V Trinity Bay (D)
Welcome aboard! The friendly crew will welcome you aboard the cargo vessel M.V. Trinity Bay and help you to settle in. Great views, good food and friendly company will make an excellent start to your adventure (sleep on the boat).
Day 2 Great Barrier Reef (BLD)
A fascinating and relaxing sea passage following the Great Barrier Reef and islolated coast line the footsteps of Captain Cook (sleep on the boat).
Day 3 Seisia (BD)
This morning you will cruise through the island studded Straits to Seisia where you will be met by your driver/guide who will take you to your accommodation. The afternoon is yours, maybe a spot of fishing or a stroll along the beach (accommodated option people will sleep in cottages at the Seisia Holiday Park and camping option people will sleep in pre erected tents with on site toilet, shower & laundry).
Day 4 Seisia - Thursday Island (BD)
An early morning ferry ride will have you arriving our our northern community, Thursday Island. Here you will be taken on an informative guided bus tour of the island and its picturesque harbor, once home to the romantic pearl lugger fleet. Late in the afternoon the ferry will return you to Seisia (accommodated option people will sleep in cottages at the Seisia Holiday Park and camping option people will sleep in pre erected tents with on site toilet, shower & laundry).
Day 5 Seisia - Somerset - Cape York Tip - Seisia (BLD)
An unforgettable day! Stand at the very top of mainland Australia and celebrate with champagne and photographs. You will then visit Somerset, once the home to the legendary Jardine family and a government outpost established in 1864. Lunch will be served on the palm fringed Anchorage Beach, during the afternoon you will have time to walk this isolated beach at the top of Australia before returning to Seisia (accommodated option people will sleep in cottages at the Seisia Holiday Park and camping option people will sleep in pre erected tents with on site toilet, shower & laundry).
Day 6 Cape York - Fruit Bat Falls - Bramwell Station (BLD)
Southward bound, you will cross the mighty Jardine River stopping at Fruit Bat Falls for lunch. Here you can relax, swim and enjoy this unique area with its enchanting waterfall. The afternoon will see you traveling along part of the Old Telegraph Track, before making your way to a "True Blue Aussie" cattle station (accommodated option people will sleep at Bramwell Station which has share bathroom facilities and camping option people will sleep in pre erected tents with on site toilet, shower & laundry).
Day 7 Bramwell - Weipa (BD)
A southerly run through the wilderness with all its varied landscapes to cross the Wenlcok River. This sees you heading for the Gulf of Carpentaria and your overnight stop at Weipa with its view over Albatross Bay. This afternoon there will be the opportunity of a 2.5 hour tour of the largest bauxite mine in the world ($25 extra) and ample time to do your laundry or stroll the town (accommodated option people will sleep at the Heritage Resort which has ensuite bathroom facilities and camping option people will sleep in pre erected tents with on site toilet, shower & laundry).
Day 8 Weipa - Musgrave (BLD)
Continuing south your first stop will be the picturesque Archer River, then on to the historic frontier gold town of Coen. The afternoon finds you arriving at your accommodation at the Old Musgrave Telegraph Station (accommodated option people will sleep at the Station which has share bathroom facilities and camping option people will sleep in pre erected tents with on site toilet, shower & laundry).
Day 9 Musgrave - Lakefield NP - Cooktown (BLD)
After an early start your 4WD will head east towards Princess Charlotte Bay where you traverse the entire length of the Lakefield National Park (road conditions permitting). This was 3 huge cattle stations which are now a National Park that is home to a many birds and animals native to this area. Lagoons, billabongs and wide river lakes are home to both fresh and saltwater crocodiles. Traveling southwards and continuing on to Old Laura Homestead then cross the Battle Camp Range. The afternoon is spent exploring the famous gold port of Cooktown. Visit Captain Cooks landing and Grassy Hill Lookout (accommodated option people will sleep at Pam's Cabins which has share bathroom facilities and camping option people will sleep in pre erected tents with on site toilet, shower & laundry).
Day 10 Cooktown - Cape Tribulation - Cairns (BL)
The final exciting day has, unfortunately, arrived, but before returning to Cairns you make your way south passing the mysterious Black Mountain and the historic Lions Den Hotel. Traversing the jungle shrouded Bloomfield Track we see where the "rain forest meets the reef" at Cape Tribulation. Next its time to enjoy the splendor of a World Heritage listed rain forest-The Daintree National Park. A scenic drive along the Marlin Coast is a perfect way to complete your Cape York Safari. Arriving late afternoon in Cairns where you will be taken to your accommodation with memories that will last a lifetime.

Campers are given pre erected tents with a two inch high density foam mattress. You will need to bring or hire our sleeping bag ($15 per trip), pillow ($5 per trip) and optional camp bed ($42 per night).
