The township of Weipa is know for its Bauxite Mine and this morning you have a chance to tour the mine for a small additional cost. After lunch your Cape York safari will hit the tracks again in a northward direction and travel through Batavia Downs Station to your overnight camp at Moreton Telegraph Office located on Wenlock River
Day 4 Wenlock River - Eliot (Twin/Indian Head) Falls (BLD)
Lots of traveling today will be done in 4wd mode as the tour will have action, adventure and fun heading along the Telegraph Track. There will be some bumps and humps but also lots of sights for the cameras. Tonights camp is at the beautiful Eliot (Twin / Indian Head) Falls where there will be plenty of time before dark for a swim in the falls after a hard day on your 4wd tour.
Day 5 Eliot (Twin/Indian Head) Falls - Cape York (BLD)
Rise early and experience the pleasure of the Cape York Peninsula at sunrise. You may even want to take another swim in the spring fed pools of the Eliot Falls before the tour breaks camp. Northward bound again the safari crosses the might Jardine River before arriving late in the afternoon at the top of Australia where you will set up camp on the shores of the Torres Strait for the next three nights.
Day 6 Cape York - Cape York (BLD)
Today is a free day to relax a little with a book on the beach of the Torres Straits or perhaps you may want to do a little bush walking. For those that are keen you can take a tropical cruise from the mainland across to Thursday Island or perhaps take in some fishing with a professional guide (both options a little extra).
Day 7 Cape York - Cape York (BLD)
Today is a very exciting day and a highlight of your Cape York tour as after visiting the Lockerbie Rain forest Scrubland and the township of Somerset on Albany Passage you will take an emotional walk to the very "tip" of mainland Australia - Cape York!
