This one day boat cruise in Hartley's lagoon takes visitors to Hartley's crocodile adventure which is an award winning eco tourism attraction. There is a 1.5km timber boardwalk over a 5 acres area where you can see Australia's large estuarine crocodiles as well as fresh water crocodiles. It is also a birdwatchers delight with kingfishers, egrets, and kookaburras as well as koalas, snakes, turtles and so much more native wildlife. Added attractions of this Cairns zoo adventure are crocodile attack show at 3.00pm, crocodile feeding, crocodile farm tour, rainforest cassowary feeding, koala feeding, and the snake show. The boat cruise takes visitors through the natural rainforest habitat of crocodiles, birds and other aquatic life in coastal melaleuca wetland. The hunting skills of the crocodiles can be safely observed from a close range. You can also actually hold a crocodile and take photographs! This is an educational tour on eco conservation with presentations on wildlife by professional wildlife keepers. Departs from Cairns at 8.45am or 11.45am. Departs from Palm Cove at 9.20am or 12.15pm. Returns from Hartley's at 1.25pm or 3.55pm. (Times are subject to change)
