This half day Mountain Bike Valley Stream tour in the Mulgrave Valley takes the riders through crystal clear running streams and lush green tropical rainforest. The Grade 2/3 unpaved / dirt tracks have gradient up to 20 / 30 degrees and off ratio of 1 / 3%. The riders are expected to be in good health and have average fitness levels. 12 years is the minimum age limit to participate in the tour. The Cairns mountain bike tour begins on sealed road and continues on single jungle tracks while following the river to its source with a refreshing swim in a secluded swimming hole on the way. The tour ends at the Pilba Peak Mountain Bike Park where the more adventurous riders can test their skills in the grade 4/5 cycling course and downhill track. The package includes 24 speed real mountain bikes, helmets & gloves, free water, guide, and training if required. The participants are expected to bring protective footwear, cool clothing, and sunscreen with them. Food items for lunch and drinks available on the way have to be paid for separately. This Cairns Mountain Bike Bicycle Tour is organized on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with departure from Cairns at 1.30pm and return at 5.30pm. Complementary transfers from and to hotel accommodation are available.
