This sailing Great Barrier Reef takes visitors to the beautiful Low Isles which is part of the Great Barrier Reef in a luxury catamaran that can accommodate a maximum of 33 people from Port Douglas. The unspoilt Low Isles is a snorkelling paradise and a nature lover’s delight with abundant marine and bird life.
There are 150 species of hard coral and 15 soft coral species in the coral cay garden around Low Isles. The marine life consists of many varieties of fish including angel fish, fusiliers, damselfish, anemones, sweetlip, giant trevally and green turtles. Some of the bird species that can be seen in Low Isles are pelicans, honeyeaters, ospreys, kingfishers, egrets, eagles, swallows and much more.
On reaching Low Isles, visitors can take part in guided snorkelling; travel in glass bottom boat with a marine naturalist on board who will explain the finer points of the marine life around Low Isles, take a heritage walk in the island or just laze around in the white sandy beach.
