Friday: Welcome aboard M.V. Captain Cook's Explorer at Darling Harbour. As the sunsets and Sydney's city lights begin to shimmer your luxury small cruise ship sets off into the harbour. Captain Cook's Explorer will anchor in Farm Cove by the shores of the Botanic Gardens, close to the sails of the Sydney Opera House.
Saturday: Active types can board M.V. Captain Cook's Explorer smaller tender boat for a quick trip to the Man O War Steps beside the Sydney Opera House and enjoy a cool morning stroll through the Botanic Gardens.Once back on board M.V. Captain Cook's Explorer and after a hot buffet breakfast the ship will cruise for the upper reaches of the Parramatta and Lane Cove Rivers. This area is one of the most expensive places in Australia for real estate. On the foreshore you will see historic sites, trophy homes and prestige residential developments. With the help of your Captain Cook Cruises guide you will be told all the stories on this area, both past and present.The afternoon brings the M.V. Captain Cook's Explorer back to Sydney's historic Rocks district. Take time ashore to stroll among immaculately preserved colonial architecture, you will find fabulous market and retail shopping, corner pubs, top art galleries and plenty of busking talent. M.V. Captain Cook's Explorer will set sail late in the afternoon for the northern foreshore of Sydney harbour where she will anchor for a night of live music, dancing and the Captain's Dinner.
Sunday: For the early risers you can take a walk through the bush and the old artillery emplacements on Bradley's Head. The hike is well worth it as the views you get from the headland are superb.During the morning M.V. Captain Cook's Explorer will cruise the Sydney harbour and into Sydney's eastern suburbs with it's huge homes and glamorous yachts. At beachside Watson's Bay the Captain Cook Cruises staff will lead you ashore to explore the charming old fishing village and historic naval establishments of this exclusive suburb. For the active passengers you can take a guided walk to The Gap and for the not so active passengers you can relax in one of the waterside pubs. Back onboard M.V. Captain Cooks Explorer, lunch will be served al fresco on the top deck of M.V. Captain Cook's Explorer allowing you to see and feel the full experience of a Sydney Harbour Cruise with Captain Cook Cruises as the M.V.
