Tour Cooktown Code: advn2d2In this 2 day / 1 night 4WD Cairns Cooktown tour you will travel through Cape Tribulation, Cooktown, Bloomfield and Daintree with an overnight stay at Cooktown. The Daintree Rainforests, the Australian Outback, the scenic Coastal drive and the historic Cooktown are the star attractions of this Cooktown Safari.The first day begins with a drive in air conditioned 4WD from Cairns to Cooktown along the scenic coastal route. Crossing the river in cable ferry, drive through the magnificent World Heritage listed Daintree Rainforest, lunch at the Lions Dens Hotel, one of the oldest Australian Bush Pubs, established in 1875 and passing through the mysterious Black Mountain are the highlights of the day. The Bloomfield Track, which is exclusively 4WD road, takes visitors through river crossings and mountain climbs to reach Cooktown. The 360 degrees view over the Coral Sea, the Endeavour River and Cooktown will be every photographer’s delight. After spending the night at Cooktown, Day 2 is free for visitors to explore the historic monuments of Cooktown, undertake the optional Aboriginal Rock Art Tour, and visit the James Cook Museum. The place still retains its old world charm as it existed when Captain Cook first visited. The return to Cairns is in the late afternoon via the scenic Mulligan Highway through the Outback of Far Northern Queensland.
