The coastal region between Cairns and the Cape Tribulation Daintree Rainforest is so beautiful. Enjoy postcard views of the Coral Sea against the backdrop of rain forest and mountains. The first stop on your tour is at the Daintree for morning tea before relaxing on a one hour wildlife spotting cruise on the Daintree River. You should see crocodiles, tree snakes and pythons in amongst the mangroves plus a large variety of birds. After the cruise you'll make a stop at the historic Daintree Village where you'll visit the Daintree Timber Museum and enjoy a first class lunch at the Daintree Tea House including the local barramundi fish, garden salads, and a tropical fruit tasting accompanied with fresh juice and tea/coffee. In the afternoon you will visit and take a guided walk through the marvelous Mossman Rainforest Gorge, a favourite with the locals, followed by a short by informative tour of Port Douglas well known for its rich and famous visitors. Next stop is a fascinating and entertaining look at Crocodiles at "Hartley's Crocodile Adventures", which is an animal park where you can stroll amongst the wildlife and see one of the best 'Crocodile Attack' shows in Australia. Following afternoon tea on the deck overlooking the lagoon, a 20 minute cruise on the Hartley's Wetland Lagoon provides guaranteed sightings of the estuarine crocodiles and many varieties of water birds. You can also view a Koala and Cassowary feeding session. When finished here you will rejoin your coach for the trip back to your accommodation. This 3 day Cape Tribulation Tour takes in not only the Daintree Rainforest National Park in Cape Tribulation but also the pristine Great Barrier Reef's off the coast of Cape Tribulation.
Day 1 - Cairns to Cape Tribulation
Your Cape Tribulation tour starts with a pick up from your accommodation in Cairns at 7.30am or Port Douglas at 8.30am and takes the scenic coastal drive until your first stop at the banks of the Daintree River. Board your Wildlife River Cruise boat on the Daintree River as your tour guide looks for crocodiles in the wild. After the Daintree River cruise your tour guide will escort you along some of the Botanical Boardwalks telling you the Aboriginal history and explaining the different types of flora and fauna. Then it's onto Cape Tribulation Beach House for an afternoon check in to your accommodation in Cape Tribulation. The accommodation is lovely timber cabins set amongst the rainforest with a swimming pool, bar, bistro and less than 1 minutes walk from the pristine Cape Tribulation beach. The afternoon is yours to explore Cape Tribulation or take an additional horseback ride on the beach, rainforest walk or rainforest canopy tour called "Jungle Surfing"
Day 2 - Full Day Great Barrier Reef Tour
Early today you will be picked up at your accommodation at 8.00am for your Great Barrier Reef experience. Enjoy 5 hours of pure pleasure on the uninhabited Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Cape Tribulation. Here you can swim with the fish or take a SCUBA dive (own expense) for the very first time under the guidance of a SCUBA Diving Instructor, your day is inclusive of lunch, drinks and all snorkelling equipment. At the end of your enjoyable day you will be taken back to your Cape Tribulation beach accommodation around 4.00pm.
Day 3 - Cape Tribulation to Cairns
You will have the morning free to explore Cape Tribulation or take an additional horseback ride along Cape Tribulation beach, rainforest walk or canopy tour called "Jungle Surfing". Early afternoon you will be picked up at your accommodation to begin your return to Cairns. En-route to Cairns you will stop at Alexandra Range Lookout for some breathtaking photographs of the Daintree National Park and the Cairns coastline. Next stop will be the lovely Mossman Gorge where you can take a swim in this "refreshing" fresh water river that meanders through huge boulders and is covered by the rainforest canopy. Time is then spent in the famous village of Port Douglas where you can soak up the atmosphere of the rich and famous. Around 5.30pm you will be returned back to your Port Douglas accommodation or at 6.30pm to your Cairns accommodation after an exciting three days and two nights of Cape Tribulation and the Great Barrier Reef touring.

After crossing the Daintree River by an eco friendly vehicle cable barge your Cape Tribulation tour heads deep into the word heritage listed Daintree Rainforest. Whilst your delicious BBQ lunch with home made salads, tropical fruit and Australian wine is prepared you have time for a swim in the freshwater stream. After ample time in Cape Tribulation your 4WD will head back towards Cairns. This Cape Tribulation and Daintree tour is aimed at the budget traveller who is happy to travel in a non 4WD vehicle in a larger group on a medium size coach.
Your day starts with a pick up from Cairns or Port Douglas in an air-conditioned coach for a scenic coastal drive, during this time your driver will be giving you information on the area and the day ahead. Soon you will arrive in the heart of the Daintree National Park. It's then time for a cruise up the Daintree River with a chance to spot crocodiles and wildlife. Your tour guide will walk you along the Maardja or Jindalba Botanical Rainforest boardwalk all the time giving you information and pointing out highlights. After lunch (at a local pub restaurant) you will find yourself on one of the last Australian Cable Ferry Crossings, as the coach is transported across the Daintree River. Take time at the next stop for a refreshing swim at Mossman Rainforest Gorge - here the tour guide will provide information of this area which is rich in Aboriginal history. A short drive south will bring you to Port Douglas, allowing time to walk through the village centre and soak up the atmosphere. This Cape Tribulation Rain forest tour is aimed at the budget traveller who is happy to travel in a non 4WD medium size coach and organise their own meals. This tour starts every day for your convenience.
Day 1 -Your day starts with a pick up from Cairns, northern beaches or Port Douglas in an air-conditioned coach for a scenic coastal drive to the heart of the Daintree where we stop for a light breakfast. It's then time for a cruise up the Daintree River with a chance to spot crocodiles and wildlife. Your informative tour guide will walk you along the Maardja or Jindalba Botanical Rain forest boardwalk all the time pointing out highlights. After lunch (own expense) you have free time for beach walking and treks through the rain forest before checking into your overnight accommodation.
Overnight Accommodation - The quaint timber cabins are set into the Daintree Rain forest only 30 meters from Cape Tribulation beach. Listen to the sounds of the ocean and wildlife as you sit on the deck of your cabin gazing up at the stars, (use of the communal swimming pool, cooking facilities, laundry and bathroom are complimentary).
Day 2 - The morning is free to enjoy your surroundings or perhaps take a beach horse ride (extra cost). This is the only beach horse ride that includes the world heritage Daintree Rain forest and the beautiful Cape Tribulation Beach.  Enjoy the ultimate two day and one night Cape Tribulation Rainforest experience by exploring the rainforest floor, plus ascend into the rainforest canopy via a purpose built walkway then relax overnight in a stunning 4.5 star rainforest cabin. This tour starts every day for your convenience.
Day 1 -Travel in a small personalised group along the scenic coastal road to the village of Port Douglas, here your guide will offer you a short tour of this quite upmarket resort village on the coast. Next stop is the picturesque area of Mossman Gorge, which is a lovely fresh water river, surrounded by huge boulders and natural rainforest, time is available for a short and very serene walk through this natural wonder. A short drive later will find you at the banks of the Daintree River where you will board a vessel for a 1 hour Daintree River Wildlife Cruise. Your Daintree River cruise will give you the best chance of seeing Crocodiles, Snakes and Bird life in the wild throughout the Daintree National Park. After the boat cruise the tour will continue on for a first class buffet lunch at the famous and spectacular Cape Restaurant. Once lunch is over time is given to stroll along the white sandy beach of Coconut Beach or take a swim in the resort pool. The afternoon is then yours to check into your overnight accommodation and take advantage of some local walks such as the ones where the rainforest really does come right down to the beach to meet the sea.

Relax in true eco-haven cabins settled in the most exquisite tropical surroundings. Each cabin is surrounded by lush gardens, offering privacy, comfort and perfectly positioned for the ultimate rainforest views. Day 2 - The morning in Cape Tribulation allows free time to take an early morning walk. A complimentary full breakfast awaits you at the resort's restaurant. At around 1.00pm you'll be collected from your accommodation its time for your naturalist guide to take you high into the Cape Tribulation rainforest canopy on the new Rainforest Aerial Walkway and Canopy Tower. People of all ages will gain easy access up amongst the canopy observing the diversity of plants, wildlife and this unique environment, which are a naturalist's paradise and a photographers dream! The afternoon is spent on a slow drive back to Cairns taking in the wonderful memories of this unique and precious wilderness area.
This tour operates daily with complimentary Cairns accommodation pick ups at 7.30am returning the next day at 6.00pm. Hotel pick ups and drop offs are also available for the Northern beaches and Port Douglas area.
