Kuranda Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is a unique rainforest experience taking you on an unforgettable journey through Australia's World Heritage listed Tropical Rainforests near Cairns. This half-day Kuranda train and Skyrail option is perfect for those on a tight time frame. You can either do a morning half-day tour or an afternoon half-day tour. You will be picked up and dropped back to your accommodation. The morning tour starts with the Kuranda Train going up and Skyrail down. The afternoon tour starts with the Skyrail going up and Kuranda Train coming down. With this tour option you have a choice of a 7.30am departure and a 1.00pm return with one hour in Kuranda. The second option is a 11.30am departure with a 5.30pm return and one hour in Kuranda.
If you already have a vehicle then this self-drive option will work well for you. You will need to drive your car to the car park at Skyrail's Caravonica Terminal for your choice of an 8.10am or 9.10am shuttle bus pick up. The shuttle bus will transfer you to the Freshwater Railway Station where you can board the scenic train to Kuranda. At your leisure after you have finished in Kuranda board Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for an impressive ride back to your car at Skyrail's Caravonica Terminal car park. With this tour option you have unlimited time in Kuranda and can choose your own return time back to Cairns. 
Board the famous Kuranda Scenic Rail for an unforgettable journey on this fascinating railway, which includes spectacular views over Cairns. On arrival in Kuranda take some time to explore the village, markets and art galleries. After 1.5 hours in Kuranda ride the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. This unique ride gives you a bird's eye view as you glide over 7.5 kilometres of pristine World Heritage rainforest. There are stops on the way at Barron Falls and Red Peak stations that must not be missed as they produce great photos of the falls. It's then time to board your small coach for a tour of the Northern tablelands. This is Cairns farmlands, agriculture and horticulture areas called the Atherton Tablelands. During the afternoon you will have the opportunity to purchase fresh local produce direct from the farms. On this trip you may even get to spot some of our native wildlife when you stop near a fruit stall that offers homemade tropical preserves. Plus stop at a working Coffee Plantation for a tour and sample of their coffee any way you like eg latte and cappuccino. Includes return accommodation transfers.
