Undara Lava Tube2 (Code: tw3) Your coach will leave Cairns for the Undara Lava Tube and journey through the Mulgrave Valley over to the Atherton Tablelands. On the way to Undara you will pass extinct volcanic craters and rich tableland vegetation. Your guide will point out the dramatic changes of scenery as you enter the Gulf Savannah plains where you will find wide-open spaces with large cattle stations. Enjoy a buffet lunch in the unique surrounds of the Undara Lava Lodge. In the afternoon join the Savannah Guide for a tour of the fascinating Undara Lava Tube. These tubes are one of the worlds longest and best-preserved flows from a single volcano. Take time to soak up some of the genuine outback hospitality before departing the Undara Lava Lodge and heading back to Cairns. Departs Daily (June - August) and Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat (September - May) Departs Cairns at 7.30am and returns at 7.30pm. Undara2 (Code: 1UNC) This 2 day 1 night Undara Lava Tube trip allows you to experience an overnight outback stay in the Undara Lava Lodge. Accommodation is in authentically restored turn of the century railway carriages. You will also be able to take advantage of a sunset tour, evening campfire get together, a outdoor bush breakfast and a more thorough tour of the Undara Lava Tubes with your experienced Savannah guide. Departs Mondays, Wednesday or Fridays from Cairns at 7.30am and returns at 6.15pm on the following day. This overnight tour includes: Undara Lava Tube Tour, Savannah Guide, National Park Fees, Buffet Lunch, with overnight stay at Undara Lodge (no private facilities), meals, half day tour of the Lava Tubes and a Sunset Tour.
